Family Law Mediation allows both parties an opportunity to make their own decisions for their family and future, rather than leaving the decision to the Family Court judge. Family Law issues generally lead to mediation as most courts in the State of Florida require the parties to attend mediation prior to a hearing on any matter. Mediation provides a level of control over the outcome that is not possible once the case goes to trial and is generally a quicker way to resolve a divorce.

Preparing for your Family Law Mediation is crucial, whether it's virtual or in-person. Below are some additional tips to help you prepare for your mediation.

  3. Minimize distractions by finding a quiet and private space for the mediation session.

  4. Position yourself in an area with good natural light in front of you to ensure clear visibility.

  5. Test your sound equipment beforehand to ensure clear communication throughout the mediation.

For In-Person Mediation:

  1. Plan your route to the mediation venue in advance and be mindful of any parking fees or restrictions.

  2. Arrive early to the venue to allow time for parking and settling in before the mediation begins.

  3. Bring any necessary documents or materials relevant to your case to facilitate discussion and decision-making.
